All thanks to Fly Blade, the largest arranger ofhelicopters for civilians in the United States of America, soon one will beable to go from Mumbai to Pune in a helicopter. The firm has tied up with HunchVentures to set up a local subsidiary, Blade India, and start helicopterservices in India from March 2019.
Thankfully this new move will help people to avoid large commercial airports.Founder of Hunch, Karanpal Singh, who addressed to this development, by saying that given the challenges of buildingtransportation infrastructure in our country, efforts will be made to useIndia’s existing network of helicopters to launch a urban air mobility (UAM)solution.
With near-zero infrastructure for helicopters, turning this model into asuccess can be challenging for a developing country like ours. But despitethis, if this model works, it will support cities to solve the issue ofdecongesting their roads.
In the beginning, the helicopter services will be available only in Mumbai, which will take off from Mahalaxmi and Juhu. After Pune, the helicopterservices will be extended to Shirdi too.
Thus, we do look forward to having a much faster, better and easier ride from Mumbai to Pune!
