JOBS IN THE TRAVEL AND TOURISM INDUSTRY:

 

1.TRAVEL CONSULTANT

The job of a  travel consultant is to analyse  the client’s travel needs and offer them the best courses out of the alternatives available.  The requirements of this job are: high level of confidence and communication skills so as to ensure fully that the customers are thoroughly satisfied with their travel experience. Excellent customer service is the key to success in this role.
Salary: Rs. 3- 5 lakhs

2. VISITOR INFORMATION MANAGER

The job of a visitor information manager of to supply information regarding queries that travellers have regarding the connectivity, geography, residences etc of the travel destination. It requires one to beforehand anticipate their needs and prepare yourself for the questions they may ask.
Salary: Rs. 3 lakhs

3. EVENT MANAGER

4. CRUISE MANAGER

6. CONSULTANT MANAGER

The main job here is to sell and market the travel and tour packages. And also, involves design and develop marketing material such as flyers, brochures, ads, website, etc.
Salary: Rs. 3-6 lakhs

7. OPERATIONS MANAGER

This is a job which requires utmost determination and diligence, it revolves around heading and overseeing various departments in your company and ensure clients’ needs are being met satisfactorily. Budgets, strategies, rules, regulations, safety, training, mentoring, and ample other tasks are also a part of this job. It requires: leadership, managerial, and interpersonal skills.

8. INTERPRETER OR TRANSLATOR
